Alex Marvey is an experienced music tutor, primarily focusing on drums and keyboards. His classes know no age limit and skill level, so whether you're a young beginner or an intermediate professional, Alex will tailor the classes and practice plan to your routine, availability and end goal. Alex has access to a studio in West London where he usually hosts his classes, however he is flexible to either commute to students or run online lessons.

60 mins: £40
*Extra charge of £10 per class if the teacher commutes to the student.
*Classes cancelled with less than 24 hour notice have to be paid in full.
Session drummer
Across 5 years of session drumming, Alex has worked with world-established artists and bands, toured Europe multiple times, headlined world famous festivals and recorded original drum parts in the most renowned studios in the UK. Although Alex is comfortable playing most of the genres out there, he is more established and regarded as a rock and metal drummer. The combination of his arena-like energy and stage presence, tight grooves and effectively learned songs enriched with his technical insights will take your project to the next level.
Average daily rate per session/gig or day on the road is £150, but that is flexible depending on the location and session length.

Session composer
Growing up listening and playing pieces by the classics of the Baroque and Romantic periods mixed with Alex's current environment centred around contemporary genres, every piece of music he writes entails smart arrangement with ambitious moves as well as crowd-pleasing hooks and top lines that make any client wanting to impress their target audience happy. Alex takes the brief given to him professionally and always makes sure not to sound trivial but rather adding a modern twist to the required project. So far, Alex has composed music for film, adverts, musicals, as well as having symphonies, metal, jazz, pop and gospel works under his belt.
On average, the flat fee per project is £400 which includes both the composition and arrangement of a standard 3-4 minute piece, which includes 3 revisions by the client.
*Note that rates and revision quantity can vary depending on the complexity of the song and its length. Please also note that Alex's jobs does NOT include professional recording and production of the piece. This has to be arranged and covered by the client separately.
